WHAT HAPPENS IN THE THERAPY SESSIONS?

Usually we will meet once a week. I will listen to you with openness and acceptance as you tell me your story, and based on my background and experience, I will help you explore your feelings and experiences so that you can begin to understand yourself deeper and in a new way. I will guide you in discovering yourself to further fulfill your inner potential, and also to develop greater compassion for your human limitations. We can, as well, look at some of the behaviors and psychological structures that you have developed in life that no longer serve you. Therapy can shed light on hidden, deeper areas or parts of yourself that have been forgotten or neglected, allowing you to feel more fully understood and integrated. By raising your awareness you will also increase your ability to make appropriate choices in your life. For many people, simply being able to share their story with someone who will not judge you, who will meet you with a spirit of acceptance and open-mindedness is something deeply healing.

WHAT IS PSYCHOSYNTHESIS?

It is a therapeutic process that encompasses the spiritual dimension of the human being. This means that not only does Psychosynthesis work with deep traumas, but it considers that we are more than our “symptoms”, considering the human being as a soul in a journey of life. Therefore, it focuses on the potential of the individual self and explores the meaning and purpose behind the difficulties of life and our existence in the world. It is also a holistic psychotherapy because it looks at ways to integrate the whole person: mind, feelings, body and spirit.

HOW LONG DOES AN INDIVIDUAL AND ONLINE SESSION LAST?

The sessions last 60 minutes.

SHORT OR LONG TERM THERAPY?

The duration of therapy will depend on your needs as well as the reasons that led you to therapy.

At the end of the first session we will agree on the most appropriate duration for your case.

Short-term therapy may be from 6 to 12 sessions. These sessions are indicated in dealing with specific issues such as anxiety at work or in reducing symptoms such as insomnia or panic attacks.

Long-term therapy can last anywhere from 6 months to several years. These sessions allow you to address in-depth issues. They are most effective in dealing with situations of: depression, phobias, eating disorders, trauma, abuse, self-esteem problems, etc.
